Students will be assessed on arrival and allocated into groups.

Group Lessons

There will be five groups and students will be taught mainly by the same instructor in group sessions (there will be the opportunity to be taught by other instructors).

• Group One : Robert Watt
• Group Two : Aaron Shaw
• Group Three : Dixie Ingram
• Group Four : Bruce Hitchings
• Group Five :Iain Macey (piobaireachd only)

Music Theory/ Bagpipe Maintenance

Will be taught by instructors in the classroom.

Piobaireachd

Piobaireachd will be taught as an option in the first two periods after lunch. This will be open to all students.

Band Practice

Recommended that all students attend. Different aspects of Pipe Band performance will be covered each day. Non-players and beginners can watch or join in.
Some subjects to be covered are:

• Carrying instruments
• Pipes up/pipes down
• Deportment
• Standing at ease
• Standing at attention
• Marching
• Dressing
• Setting chanters
• Tuning the drones together
• Playing together
